Yoda was found as a puppy beside the road in one of the mountain regions of Kosovo. When he was taken to the clinic, there was nothing the vet could do. It turned out Yoda has a degeneration of liquid in the spinal vertebrae. He can walk a little bit, up to a point where he gets tired and drops to the ground. A wheelchair was brought for him and he simply loves it. Yoda can make full turns and navigate through the woods. However, the wheelchair means his muscles become weaker. So these days he does not use it all the time, to prevent more degeneration. When Yoda was taken to a vet for microchipping, the vet actually found an unregistered Serbian chip. This likely means that Yoda was once bred by a breeder and had been microchipped for selling. For some reason, probably due to the injury, Yoda was left to die beside a road in Kosovo.
Yoda is a very happy young man. He loves being the center of attention at Meda's Run. You can't help but fall in love with his great and good-natured character. Much like Balloo, Yoda has a great sense of humor and loves playing with the other dogs. But the best thing in the world to Yoda, is running around in his wheelchair. As soon as he spots you bringing it, he comes over and places himself beside it, waiting patiently for you to pull him off the ground and into the wheelchair.
Yoda sometimes uses a wheelchair for moving.
Yoda has severe back problems and sometimes uses a wheelchair.
